How long does the recruitment process take?
It depends enormously on how well prepared you are for your interview We have to witness original documentation only, so if you bring everything you need off the list we can actually be offering you work in a really short space of time.

How long is the work I will be offered?
This depends largely upon what it is you’re after. Every bodies needs are unique & different and we treat your needs as such. If your a student who maybe has a couple of days off per week then we’ll offer you work on those days…

What security checks do our Staff go through?
All staff must provide the following at interview: 2 references – 1 can be a character reference, 1 must be from your last or most recent job. If you’ve just qualified then your last placement. Original certificates of qualification, photocopies are not acceptable At least 2 proofs of home address – utility bills, mobile phone bill, credit card or catalogue bills are all acceptable. Prove of NI (National Insurance) number – this can be an NI card, letter from the HMRC or any official government document with the NI number displayed. 2 passport sized photos – we issue all staff with a photograph ID card and keep one on file. Enhanced DBS disclosure – we will put you through a fresh disclosure as part of the recruitment process. If you have one already, please bring it with you to your interview.

What does a Supply Teaching Assistant role involve?
Supply teaching assistant work is an exciting and rewarding way to gain experience and build your CV. You can work on a day to day supply basis, or alternatively in long term supply roles. You could be working within a classroom providing general support to the teacher, working with groups of children or providing 1 – 1 support including SEN support dependant on your experience. Supply work requires you to be on every assignment.

What qualifications do I need to work as a Supply Teaching Assistant?
You will need a minimum of an NVQ Level 2 Qualification in a childcare or teaching assistant qualification or equivalent.

What qualification do I need to work for Plus Staff Recruitment?
There are lots of different qualification, by many different bodies through out the UK, the most common qualifications are NVQ in Childcare/Education, NNEB, Cache Diplomas, BTEC, HND & Degrees. A minimum requirement is NVQ 2.

What are your opening hours?
Plus Staff Recruitment is open from 7am – 6.30pm Monday – Friday. If you need to call us outside of these hours all calls are diverted to individual consultant who will take your calls or respond to messages urgently.

Do I need to pay for a DBS check?
Yes. Our current charge for a DBS is £55, however, if you have a DBS on the online update service we can use this check when processing your application.

Where would I be Working?
We supply Staff to the whole sector of Early Years & Primary Education. From playgroups, private & community day nurseries, children centres & pre-schools then all the way through to Key Stage 2.

How will I be paid?
We Pay you directly into your bank or building society one week in arrears. A payslip is sent to you displaying which timesheets have been paid, how many hours/days and at what rate plus any deductions.

When do I need to get my timesheets into you?
Timesheets need to be received by our office by Tuesday 12.00pm following the week of work. For example – If you work this week, your timesheet needs to be with us by Monday midday the following week.
